    The FT-710 Field adopts the direct sampling architecture found in Yaesu’s flagship FTDX101 series, utilizing a 16-bit A/D converter (ADC) to sample RF signals directly at 122.88 MHz. This design eliminates the image responses and phase noise common in traditional superheterodyne circuits, achieving an extremely low noise floor that allows weak DX (long-distance) signals to emerge from the background noise with remarkable clarity.
